This month's book club pick was mine. We are a well-read group - in that we read a lot. Picking a book is always hard - and I took the approach of something new, a unheard of author and wanting to get into a Summerween vibe.
It is about a women who has a haunting past - she is seeking a connection with her friend who died when they were teenagers. Her friend alway spoke of wishing to go to the "Reader's Resort", a resort dedicated to giving readers unique and memorable reading experiences. She goes there and is surprised when things do not go quite to plan when she tries to call her friend forward form the beyond.
Spooky vibes, some twists and turns and an ending that you don't fully see coming.
